Quinoa (pronounced "keen-wa") is a great source of bio-available protein. Quinoa is a complete protein, meaning it includes all nine essential amino acids. Quinoa is especially high with the amino acid lysine, which is essential for tissue growth and repair. It is also high in magnesium, potassium and iron and is a good source of phosphorus, calcium, vitamin E and several B vitamins. Quinoa is also gluten-free, easy to digest and has a delicious flavor.
