See Us At the DKC Dog Show In Detroit

This show is being held at Cobo hall which is an enormous venue. So large, in fact, that the North American International Auto Show is held there as well. The DKC event is one of only six remaining annual "benched" American Kennel Club meets. Unlike most dog shows where a dog performs and is then free to leave, a benched event requires that the competing canines must be on display with their owners or handlers for the entire day. This unique format allows maximum interaction between the public and the four legged competitors. With over 60,000 annual visitors, this large scale event offers multiple programs from the formal "Best Of" judging to exciting demonstration events. As someone who is much more comfortable with informality, I look forward to checking out the police dog and herding demonstrations.
