Great question-I hear very similar questions all of the time. My advice to you would be the same I give to a lot of our customers. If it isn't broke don't fix it. When a dog is having food related issues it can be very difficult to isolate the root problem. It your dog has an allergy issue, it can take quite some time (and money) to find a food that is gentle on your dogs delicate systems. Since it seems you have resolved the issue I wouldn't veer from the course. Grandma Lucy's makes a great product and if your dog is happy on the food, I would stick with that.
