We're Famous!--Video Of Students With Autism Making Dog Treats

If you've recently shopped with www.FidoDogTreats.com, then you have received a complimentary bag of Puppy Love dog treats. Available in two varieties, the Puppy Love treats are purchased from a micro-business operated by students with autism at Seaholm High School in Birmingham, MI. Led by special education teacher Debra Lloyd, these students follow every step from mixing the ingredients up to and including packaging the finished treats. The treats and then available for sale directly from the students or at Premier Pet Supply in Beverly Hills, MI. As we at Fido are quite impressed with this program and it's ability to positively influence lives, we though it important to bring these products to dogs across the country.
Although this education program was started in 2009, those of us at Fido are not the only ones taking notice. The NBC affiliate in metropolitan Detroit, WDIV, was so intrigued by the story of these students that they called Debra Lloyd. The curiousity of the the news staff at WDIV was strong enough that they ultimately sent a reporter and camera crew to visit the classroom. Well we all know what happens when reporters, cameras and an interesting story all collide. We get a News-Story.
I've personally visited the classroom filmed in this video and it is truly impressive. The students are well coordinated in all of their various educational activities. You definitely good the feeling that these special students are benefitting from the collective heart and committment of the staff. Fortunately for us at FidoDogTreats.com, these students are kind enough to share the "Puppy Love" with our customers.
